Anna Belle Cotton passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at a local hospital. She was born March 18, 1925 in Mangum, Oklahoma. Anna was member of Rock Creek Road Baptist Church. She taught for 35 years in the Whitt and Perrin School Districts. She was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a dedicated teacher who will be greatly missed.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Cotton; mother, Grace Tipps; and two daughters, Patricia Kay Cotton and Bonnie Prochaska.
Survivors include her sons, Russell Cotton and wife Virginia, Randy Cotton and wife Lyn; her two granddaughters she raised, Christy Delk and Shannon Rhoades; grandchildren, Heather Andersen, Stacey Nepveux, Yancey Andersen, Stephanie Burdine, Jessica Cotton, Lance Cotton, Amanda Mata, Tiffany Nimphius, Amanda Clower, Cassandra Guile, and Rebecca Roberts; numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, friends and students.
Anna will be lying in state at Baum-Carlock Bumgardner Funeral Home Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. till 9 p.m. A private family graveside service will be 2 p.m., Friday, April 24 at Rock Creek Road Cemetery.
